FAQ

Ordering, data files, and shipping

I need an SDF file

Library SDFs are provided through TimTec’s database-download process or by email. If a public download link is required, ask timtec@timtec.org for the current route. TT-BOT can help navigate catalog questions.

How do I search compounds?

Use Structure Search or ID / SMILES, or email a list with required amounts in Excel, SDF, SMILES, or MOL.

I cannot find an ID, order, CAS, or catalog number

Not all compounds are listed online. TimTec can quote custom synthesis for a structure or substructure you send.

How do I place an order?

Email orders@timtec.org or support@timtec.net, fax 302-292-8520, or call 302-292-8500. Say whether partial shipments are acceptable and include an email for carrier notifications. Approved business accounts can also order and download CoA/SDS files in the Customer Portal.

Payment

ACH, wire transfer, company check, and Visa / Mastercard / American Express. Net 30 is offered on approved accounts (see Terms). W-9 and vendor-form requests: call 302-292-8500.

Shipping cost and origin

TimTec can waive listed freight if you provide a FedEx or DHL account. Published basic freight is $70 domestic U.S. and $185 international for individual-compound shipments. Carriers used include FedEx and UPS. Shipments go out from the Kissimmee / Orlando-area operation. Refrigerated items are generally not booked for Friday dispatch unless you ask.

Delivery time

Plating and storage

Compounds are stored dry and can be freshly dissolved. Delivery vessels include 1-dram (3.75 mL) vials and 96- or 384-well plates. Store in a dark, cool place; some lots need refrigerator or freezer conditions — TimTec will flag those. DMSO solutions are typically held at −20 °C or −80 °C; freeze–thaw cycles can affect stability.

Very small or very large amounts

TimTec states it will try to meet requests from below 1 mg up to multi-gram, and will quote kilogram-scale custom synthesis separately.

File-format conversion

SDF import into ISIS/Base or other desktop tools is a customer-side step (create/open a database, map fields, import). Excel cannot be converted directly to JC format; import to a chemistry database first. TimTec can quote data-conversion work. ChemDBsoft is TimTec’s own database package for SDF/MOL/SMILES workflows.
