Terms of Sale

Ordering

Send orders to the corporate office by email or fax, attention Customer Service. Each order should list an official purchase order, exact shipping and billing addresses, and the name, telephone, and email of a receiving contact. Email is used for confirmation and carrier notices. Fax is not used as an order-receipt acknowledgment. Mark confirming copies “copy.”

Use and indemnity

By purchasing, the customer accepts responsibility for use of TimTec products and services, including injury, punitive damages, lost profit, loss of use, and property loss, and agrees to indemnify TimTec, its suppliers, agents, owners, shareholders, and employees against related claims, including those arising from unsafe, improper, illegal, or unintended use.

Storage and handling

Most dry compounds can travel and be stored long-term at ambient temperature unless the quote says otherwise. Slightly cool, dark storage is preferred. After dissolution in DMSO, −20 °C or −80 °C is the usual long-term range. Solvent choice and storage are determined by the assay. TimTec is not responsible for quality issues that follow the customer’s in-house storage decisions.

Shipping and payment

Published freight for individual compounds: $70 domestic, $185 international. Terms: Net 30 days, FOB shipping point, subject to acceptance. No minimum order charge is maintained. Corporate Visa, Mastercard, and Discover are accepted (FAQ also lists American Express). Shipments go via UPS, FedEx, or another common carrier, insured at the buyer’s expense. Customer carrier accounts may be used collect. TimTec is not liable for carrier or customs delays, including spoilage in transit.

Partial shipment may be made at TimTec’s discretion unless the order forbids it. Visible damage should be reported to the carrier immediately; retain cartons until the claim is settled.

TimTec does not manufacture storage vessels; it sources plates and vials from outside suppliers and is not responsible for damage attributable to those vessels. Customers may ship their own vials or plates in advance of processing.

Taxes

VAT, sales tax, excise, duty, customs, and inspection fees imposed on the transaction are the buyer’s responsibility. Provide an exemption certificate with the order when applicable.

Shortage, returns, cancellation

Shortage claims: within 10 business days of receipt. Returns: only with authorization, within 30 days of the order date; items that deteriorated from incorrect storage or that are outdated are not accepted.

If an approved order is cancelled, the customer pays for incurred labor, materials, and services. Published cancellation fees: stock compounds 20% (minimum $50); overseas stock 30% (minimum $100); custom synthesis 50%. Fees may be waived when no cost has been incurred.

Quality and intended use

All products are for research and development only and are not for human or animal consumption. Properties may be incompletely characterized. Handle only with trained personnel. New batches may differ slightly from earlier lots. TimTec performs spot checks and removes unacceptable inventory but does not guarantee 100% coverage of every listed item. Prices and availability may change before or after an order is placed. Typographical pricing errors may be refused.

NPL and other collections include materials also sold by other vendors. TimTec does not hold IP on collection members and is not responsible for damages from product use.

Governing law

Disputes are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA.
